Castelnau and Milandes

Big views, great buildings and interesting content at the chateau's at Castelnau and Milandes. The former having experienced significant battles (and containing substantial military exhibits) and the latter the home of Josephine Baker (a very interesting historic figure from the 20th century in France - even though she was American). Good birds of prey exhibition at Milandes. Photos are in reverse order (?).

Dordogne .....

Here is a collection of pictures from different things we’ve been doing over the past few days. They include Sarlat (including second ice-cream man and farm festival competition); Montfort; Domme; a free concert I went to which was awesome at the civic centre (CB Clifford); Beynac and Puymartin. The little car is the kind that doesn't need a license (from 14 years of age!).

Visited the little chateau quite near the Black Duck (impromptu, as its private and saw sign for tour as we drove past). Very picturesque! Then got the key from the local shop keeper to access the little church on the hill at Saint-Genies - 14th century frescos - noice.

New York City Pt 1

We have now been ensconced in NYC for a few (hot!) days and having a hoot of a time. The apartment is all set up and going well. So far we...
