Spent half the day at the Invilades army museum, with a room of 17th and 18th century military models of strategic French locations (amazing. such as the 1768 model of Mont St Michel); Napoleon artefacts; fabulous military costumes; Napoleon's tomb ('modest') and more. After lunch we went to Saint Chapelle, with its stunning 13th century (!) stained glass - each panel over 15m tall. After flaneuring around the Marais with Laurie sipping more Campari's, I headed down to the Seine for more afternoon refreshment with Anthony and Pascale by the (now traffic free) riverside esplanade. For dinner, Anthony cooked fantastic butter chicken for dinner and Pascale provided awesome pastries from a Patissier around the corner established in 1730! Heading to Bordeaux tomorrow morning on the TGV. Paris has been great!
