The TGV was amazing. No stops and 2.04hrs to Bordeaux at 295km/hr. Lunch at the station was great. We have become partial to Cafe Gourmand - which is an expresso with several little deserts - better than a single desert and you get a coffee to boot. Easy drive to St-Emilion and our little house, right in the centre of things - though tortuous to navigate to drop the bags off! Beautiful central square (had dinner) and highly scenic street scenes (gas lit after dark). We haven't explored too much yet, but will tomorrow.
