We left El Questro today and had a great trip up to Wyndham. First up we went to Emma Gorge, on the last stretch of the GRR. Its also owned by El Questro. It was still very rocky but much more straight forward than all the other walks. There were LOTS of people on the walk and swimming at the large waterhole at the end of the gorge. Pretty speccy though. Wyndham was very interesting with The Grotto (a sunken gorge with great reflections) on the way and a fab local museum. There are little historic buildings, a massive Boab tree reportedly 2000 years old (and the 'largest in captivity'), and a huge view from a lookout above the town (no photo included here). The tide is 8.5m and it was going out FAST. Afterwards we visited the birdhide at Marlgu Billabong near sunset - spectacular. So picturesque with so many birds. We also saw a large crocodile cruising in the lagoon. We're staying tonight at Parry's Lagoon.

Great stuff. Thanks Steve for the pics, looks like everything and everyone is getting a good workout, from your knees to the Prado! 45 degrees here everyday, not sure what they are complaining about in Seattle😂 Next Friday we are off to Rome amd 3 weeks flaneuring about (there must be an Italian translation?). We are heading down to the heel of the boot in Puglia and going up the Adriatic coast to do some summer strolls in the Dolomites. Should be fun. Safe travels to you and Marian
