Today was a 'gorge-fest' in technicolour! We visited Simpsons Gap where we finally saw rock wallabies amongst a riot of colors in the early morning. There are also Budgies everywhere! We did a little walk nearby on Cassia Hill where we got great views and I flew the drone (will post separately). Next was Stanley Chasm where we scaled a lookout to amazing views before entering the gorge at midday when the sun lights it up nicely. We then visited the Ochre Pits which were used for ceremonies and trade - they were very impressive and colourful. We camped at Ormiston Gorge where we visited the lookout late in the afternoon and I used the drone again (see separate post).
