We did a great drive north of Cooktown today visiting Elim Beach near Hopevale. On the way we visited a couple of waterfalls and some great bridges! The countryside was mostly wet tropics rainforest, with some dryer forest (to the west) and fabulous Wallum-like coastal landscape east of Hopevale. Our last night in Cooktown tonight and heading down towards Cape Tribulation tomorrow. We have really enjoyed our longer stay in Cooktown.
