We started and ended the day with trains. In the morning we went for a 2hr run on the Gulflander, which is very historic and still part of Queensland Rail. It has a very interesting steel sleeper construction specifically intended to be regularly inundated during the wet season in the gulf country. Next was a loong drive to Undara Lodge, where we have a suite in an historic railway carriage, in a bushland setting - pretty cool. We went for a nice walk when we arrived late afternoon - it seems a very nice place with lots of walks - impressive.
